FlixBus
European budget brand expanded to a US-wide green coach network.
About FlixBus
FlixBus brought its European yellow-and-green budget coach model to the United States starting in 2018, then acquired Greyhound in 2021. The two brands now operate under the same parent company while retaining separate booking flows.
Network footprint
FlixBus has dense coverage in the Southwest, Pacific Northwest and California, with a growing network in the Northeast and Midwest. Most stops are curbside; major terminals are shared with the Greyhound network.
Fare logic
FlixBus uses dynamic pricing with regular promo codes for first-time riders and email subscribers. Fares spike for last-minute bookings.
Baggage
One carry-on under the seat and one underbus bag up to 50 lb included. Additional bags can be added at checkout for $4 to $9 depending on route.
Booking and changes
FlixBus tickets are non-refundable but can be cancelled for a credit voucher up to 15 minutes before departure.
