About RouteRider

RouteRider is an independent reference site covering every Megabus route in North America, plus the major intercity bus operators that compete on the same corridors. We document stop locations, schedules, fares, onboard amenities, and the booking patterns that produce the lowest prices.

We are not affiliated with Megabus, FlixBus, Greyhound, or any other operator. We do not sell tickets. Every booking link goes directly to the official operator page so you always pay the carrier price with no markup.

Where the data comes from

Route slugs are sourced from the live Megabus sitemap (us.megabus.com/sitemap.xml) and cross-referenced with our curated list of US and Canadian intercity bus cities. City and stop metadata is hand-curated from operator publications, terminal authorities, and verified field reports. Schedule windows, fare tiers, and amenity lists reflect typical patterns and are not real-time — always verify on the operator site before travel.

What we publish

  • A dedicated route page for every direct Megabus corridor between covered cities.
  • Hub city pages for the 24 highest-volume Megabus cities in North America.
  • Long-form guides on fare timing, packing, overnight rides, and operator comparisons.
  • Operator profiles for every major intercity bus brand active in North America.

Editorial independence

RouteRider receives no direct compensation from operators and accepts no editorial input from them. The site may earn affiliate commissions from external recommendation links; commissions never affect editorial content or rankings.
