Intercity bus baggage policies

Megabus and most other intercity bus operators include one personal item plus one underbus bag in the base fare. Specific allowances vary by operator; the table below summarizes.

Megabus

One personal item under the seat plus one underbus bag up to 50 lb included. Additional bags $10 each, oversized items $25.

FlixBus

One carry-on under the seat plus one underbus bag up to 50 lb included. Additional bags $4 to $9 depending on route.

Greyhound

One carry-on plus one underbus bag up to 50 lb included. Additional bags $10 to $15 each.

Tagging

Most curbside operators do not provide bag tags. Bring a luggage tag with name, phone and destination city. Stick it on the handle before queuing at the curb.
